The Research Institute "Kinderkrebs-Zentrum Hamburg" is integrated into an excellent scientific environment by cooperation contracts with the Hamburg University Medical Center (UKE) and the Heinrich-Pette-Institute for Experimental Virology and Immunology at the University of Hamburg (HPI).

Similar fields of activity allow for a variety of academic joint ventures, shared usage of technology platforms and efficient economics. The Research Institute and the Clinic of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the UKE are continuously exchanging information, out of which fundamental academic questions of clinical relevance develop.
